First, I just wanted to point out that this posting was removed on the expatforum (com) for apparently being against their economic agenda! Thank you for operating a true forum here.

Second, if anyone needs a Europa Telecom MAG (TV) box, I have one going (not selling; happy to post it at cost BUT please need it, not just want it).

OK, so I had my final problem with Europa Telecom (so many problems, it was like a comedy program), the last straw when they dropped my business Internet connection. After my Internet was disconnected after a move 20 meters to another office, after Europa Telecom told me it could and probably would take weeks to have the service reconnected (bear in mind, it is basically a Movistar franchise connection), after Europa Telecom refused to even start reconnection until I gave them some guarantee I would not publish the facts online, I have finally and gladly ditched the (IMHO) nastiest most incompetant "service" providers in Spain (Europa Telecom). Also bear in mind, as Movistar confirmed, all that was needed was a change of service order as I was operating of the samre local network / street junction box.

I went to Movistar directly. When I call Movistar, I automatically get an English speaking operator. Movistar had a new router with me two days after I ordered the service and when I plugged it in, everything was live, and the Internet speed was much better than before. I also have free Spanish calls with Movistar and use an excellent and very cheap long distance carrier keepcalling who I really recommend.

So I lost my Europa UK streamed TV service (hence I have one of their overpriced MAG boxes available if anyone needs it). But I simply bought an Android TV box off eBay (I use IPTV for streamed TV) for under 50 GBP including delivery, which actually works better than the MAG / Europa TV service with less buffering during peak times (I also put better download speeds going direct to Movistar alongside the Android box being better than the MAG), plus you can change the quality from HD (better on Android IMHO than Europa MAG) to Standard with the Android for when buffering becomes an issue.

Anyway, I would never touch Europa Telecom again with a barge pole and have one of "their" MAG boxes available if anyone needs it (and the best of British if you do have to use Europa).

:-)

I'd keep it mate. You can use it with a different provider if you like. I use tvgb.eu with my old Europa MAG box.
