I am in the process of buying a property of plan at Valle del Sol in Carcer. The developer in Viviendas Jardin.
My solicitor has advised me not to put the 20% down on the property because there is not guarantee of completion in place yet. They don't want to put the final price in the contract.
They are not really cooperating with my solicitor.
Is anyone else having problems with this developer?

Take your solicitors advice....that's what you pay him for!!
Ask yourself: would you proceed with a similar arrangement in UK if your solicitor advised against it?
I'm sure you would not
There are lots of good developments off plan with all permits and bank guarantees

Thanks for that, that is what I thought in my mind anyway. Just thought I would ask.
Also does anyone know if it matters who chooses the Notary for the completion signing?
My solicitor wants to choose, but the developer wants the one they always use.

Hi subbymat
We were told it's the notary the builder insists on who you go to to complete.
