We take the same route as you but only to Huercal Overa!

Always stay at the Ibis at Alcorcon- Mostoles which is just off the M50

Have a look at the web site but there are two Ibis Hotels around this area and it is the 'Alcorcon-Mostoles 'one which is the most convenient

Next door to Big Mac and Burger King for a cheap meal deal!!..but you can walk in to the centre of Mostoles for other places to eat- centre of Madrid is only 20 mins by Metro

Cost last time about 62 € for a room for 2 and breakfast, which is very good ...and we always take out a couple of rolls for lunch!!

About 4 1/2 hours from Santander and then it should be about the same to Vera

If you need to buy some food when you get off the boat then at 'Reinosa' there is a Macadona Supermarket a couple of minutes off the motorway

A realistic interpretation and the banks are taking a comercial approach to selling the vacant propertiers they own

This gives buyers a good opportunity to find a great deal...not all of them are good deals and you have to look for them

In the end when buying a holiday or retirement home it comes dowm to comparing what you can get for your money in different locations, deciding where you want to be and the life style you want, then do the best deal you can and get on wth your life

Buying in Spain is very competitive in all respects compared with say France, Portugal etc

And in all countries you have to make sure that you get good legal advice and approach the purchase is the same way as you would in UK-do that and nowadays everything will be OK

As everyone knows Polaris World have discounted units with 100% mortgages subject to status-so come and have a look and I'm sure that a good deal can be done 

Also CAM Bank but in general circa 80%

Now you have to take a view on the future but history tells us that prices will recover 

So if you want to buy come over and have a look- if your status is good a mortgage wll not be a problem on above mentioned units

The area you are looking at does have some legality problems for some villas but, I stress, not all

 

You should make sure that you get good legal advice on the title to the property you are considering buying

In general if the villa does not have a Licence of First Occupation then that immediately raises important questions, which need to be answered

 

And nowadays you cannot get connected to mains water and electric without a LFO

 

There are situations where a buyer may well complete a purchase retaining some of the price pending the issue of the LFO but again good legal advice is paramount

 

As a new buyer it pays to be extra careful so therefore avoid locations where there is any doubt- there is a large choice of villas available which are fully legal!

Ikea is good for your kettle etc and is just like the UK branches and you can visit their Spanish web site - Murcia store about 45/50 mins from Alicante Airport and you will see all the signs to direct you to the store from the motorway

Food is good and cheap ,again just like UK

For beds speak to Sleepcentre in Albox- I have already bought a couple , good quality and price and the English couple who run it give an excellent service - about to buy some more beds from them
