Why can't I see the latest post on this? All I get when I press new is  a post from Dec 28?

Got it now

Xetog -struggling to maintain 2 homes, if you have 2 homes, you're not exactly struggling!

I quite understand you reaction,Camposol, and I did expect someone to take me to task on the word "struggling"! Still, if unable to sell your Spanish property and are responsible for the ever increasing bills, you could well be struggling on a pension. We certainly didn't forsee the financial crisis that meant that we would have 2 homes in our 70's. We have recently downsized in the UK but the increasing costs of maintaining a home in Spain, even if we left it empty, is beginning to become overly expensive. We could, of course sell or rent out our UK house and move to Spain, so I don't really expect anyone to feel sorry for us! We have options, which is a lot more than some.

Hi Guys

I work for Ecotech Solutions, we are based on Condado de Alhama.  Our website has some great information on how to understand your electricity bill and how much appliances cost to run, especially Air Con.  We specialise in AC monitoring systems and surge protection, but our main aim is to help people lower their electricity bills and become more efficient.

I'm unable to post the links to the website on this forum but if you go to

 thinkecotech . com

Products & Services > What do my appliances cost to run?

or > Understanding my electricity bill

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them,, you can find our contact details on the website

Hi

I do not understand why my bi monthly elecrical fixed charge has increased by a whopping 150% from 39 euros to 96 euros. I understand that the government of Spain recently increased the fixed/variable charges from 35%/65% to 65%/35%. Anybody else experienced this increase? I travelling at the moment and therefore unable to contact Iberdrolla.

Javelin
