escatura

Hi all, is it a problem leaving a copy of my Escatura with our property agen as proof of ownership to get our utilitys switched  on in our appartment?

I dont think it would be a problum. The water and electricity board always ask for a copy to prove that you are the owner of the house!.

 They always ask to see the escritura if the contracts are going to be in the owners name and a rental contract if the utilities are going into a tenant's name.  they'll also need a copy of passport and NIE if you have one.  Getting utilities reconnected is relatively easy but any outstanding bills will need to be paid first obviously.
