Hope that you will dig deep to support this years Poppy Appeal that is now in full flow and will run until November 14th.
All funds raised go to support and help ANY serving and ex service personel and their dependants who are in need .....and this includes those that served during the World Wars and the more recent conflicts in Iraq and Afganistan.
Every single week of the year The Royal British Legion makes grants in excess of £1.4 million to ex-service and service personel and their families to relieve hardship.
I hope that you will easily find poppy boxes in all areas where there are British Legion Branches in Spain
In my area Mijas Costa we have a thriving branch of 300+ members see http://www.britishlegion.org.uk/branches/mijas-costa and our branch alone will have in excess or 100 boxes out in the community - including at Icelands in Mijas Costa (near the euroski petrol station) and at the Wednesday and Saturday Markets at La Cala de Mijas.
We are hoping for massive support from the public - why not join in the fun year round and become a member ....
Annual subscriptions work out at around 20 euro per person ... have fun, make friends and help those that have made such sacrifices that we can live in freedom.
Most branches run numerous social events over the year - new members are welcome -if you would like the address of your nearest branch then just ask me and I will be pleased to find it for you. There are 30+ branches in mainland Spain alone.... plus Tenerife and the Baleric Islands have branches too.
