Yes...you've guessed it...another family from the UK looking at the possibility of moving to Spain.

We do have an advantage, well my partner has, as she lived in Alicante for 4 years, but then met me and moved back to the UK.

Like everywhere else we understand the economic climate hasn't been kind to everyone.

Now my situation is that I'm in the process of developing a business that is Internet driven; from my research the concept has already obtained interest in Spain. 

The business is a Social Enterprise, it is specific towards developing life and business skills towards 13 to 25 year old's.

I was therefore wondering if there are any business grants available in Spain, as I would like to have the service fully adapted to the youth in Spain?

Hi Martin, welcome to EOS.

There are many grants available but...and it's a BIG but, they aren't always as great as they seem.

You would need to speak to a representative at a local CADE type office (these are for Andalucia) where they can run through with you the types of funding and grants available.

You will obviously need to prepare a complete business plan in Spanish to even start talking to them, but they can supply you with the template that you need for this.

I know all this because we tried to get a grant last year for a new project we were trying to start but gave up in the end as the grant wasn't really very helpful at all.
