Pavements being dug in Playa Flamenca

 We've just come back from Playa Flamenca and they are digging up the pavements everywhere and putting in a red pipe. Does anyone know what it is for? Any idea how long this work is going to take? Thanks Kevin

It's been going on for ages Kevin....................first we were dug up for gas pipes, then we were dug up for drainage but we can't seem to find what these purple/red pipes are for!!

I was hoping they were the pipes for the gas. Do you remember when were the gas pipes put in and when we might we get a supply? Kevin

The gas pipes were put in about 18 months ago. They are down the main roads like Calle Navel but not to the off shoot roads. We thought they went to what were going to be the new houses on Cala Mosca. of course there is still doubt that these will ever be built.

I cannot really see piped gas being readily available here for a long long time and possibly never to apartment blocks already built as it would be so expensive and disruptive to install pipework.

 Oh, I didn't realise it was that long ago. I thought it was a new thing. We are in a Quad just off the road with the market. So hopefully we will get gas at some point. Thanks Kevin
