what is the difference between potentially and realistically

I paid my deposit in january 2006 nd still waiting for my Bank guarantee.

People say construction is underway but I have decided to only believe once I have seen it.

Over two years I have been believing before seeing and now I am doing the opposite. 

Unless I see construction I will not believe.

If you have not got a BG then you need to be chasing it ASAP. It should be given within a  matter of weeks after you have paid any money over. Each stage payment should have a seperate BG. Because you say you are still waiting for the BG after two years, chances are the developer has "forgotten" to get one!!!!

Have you checked to see if your Lawyer has it? Ask to have a copy faxed to you. Make sure the BG has your name, passport number and the property you are buying on it.

(My apologies if I am stating the obvious to you.)

You also need to check that all planning permission/licences have been granted  because if they are not, this could be a reason why the Bank may not have issued a BG.
