Some posts on general forum under heading  ''currency exchange''  if interested. It is quite scary for those with payments outstanding, pity they wont accept $US.

The rate went up to just over 1.40 on friday just hope it stays there on monday morning.

Caravaner i wouldnt deal with the bank they will just have you over go to a currency company.

We moved out of our house on friday and are in rented for 6 months before coming to spain

Hi everyone

Whats going on with the rate ive just been offered 1.30 how bad is that. i worked it out my balance has just gone up by 15000.00 sterling since i put down deposit.

moneycorp told me today that over the next few months they pedict its going to be mid 120s so buy now while its 1.30.

I dont know what to do for the best buy now or gamble?????? it would be interesting to hear what others are going to do.

Im starting to wish that i had rented at 500euros pcm  and left all the money in the bank.

I too am looking at £10000 extra. If interest rates go down in the UK the EURO could start to go up.

I am supposed to complete in March. I will not complete until the LFO is granted and by then hopefully the Pound will have strengthened.

With the market slowing down in Spain and the weak pound it is a double whammy to the invextment.

Like you I wish I had left my money in the bank.

The pound has strengthened to its highest in 3 weeks. The trend is up and lets hope it keeps going that way.

Just been reading the pound is set to keep climbing now!

Unless Mr Brown implements his idea of "printing more money"........how to devalue the pound in one easy step !
