Hi

We have managed to successfully import our car without paying a gestor/jestor (spelling is terrible)..... thank goodness & yippeeeeeeeeee!!! The world has just been lifted of my shoulders!!

My advice to anyone who is thinking of doing the same thing. Only attempt this if you or someone close to you speaks extremely good if not fluent spanish. This import has taken us 2 weeks and been very complex. We have had to go to many different offices, stand in long queues in some of them.. especially traffico and if there is one thing no matter how small out of place you will just be sent away, even if you have been queueing for hours. If you cannot speak the language then a gestor is the answer, otherwise expense and FRUSTRATION will take on a whole new meaning!!!!

If you can speak fluent spanish and you do your RESEARCH then if you want to bring your pride and Joy over then it can be fairly straightforward, no problemas. So dont be put off like the programmes advise.... just be organised and realistic!!! And if not ive learnt the spanish are easily bribed with a lovely box of Thorntons chocolates he he

Tina xx

P.s by the way if you ever get a traffic fine out here its traffico you go to to pay it. After spending two mornings in there this week, i will never go over 30mph again!! From what i gather its not like england where you can send a cheque, its standing in long queues, enough to put anyone of speeding, illegally parking etc. Yesterday we got there and there was 49 people in front of us, i was so stressed i could have crushed a grape!!!!

pps.... We got stopped by the police the other week in our english car, luckily no fine as it was a genuine mistake,........ i shall polish my new number plates every day to remind me..... TRAFFICO TRAFFICO, DONT SPEED!!

good stuff Tina

it is best to be fully legal and easiest not to have to go to traffico any more than necessary, but now for the dummies amongst us that haven't got the hang of Spanish yet or are just to lazy to go through the whole process i have a very helpful Gestion who will go through the whole thing for you, in fact he can do just about anything with regard to Spanish paperwork, or so he says

PM me for details
