Moving to spain for 1 year..initially..

Just wondering if any of the Forum members are in the above position as we are having bought into the Lavanda Block, which are also now being told will be Aparthotel which we didnot sign up for.

We cannot get many answers that we can rely on and still have no idea if they will ever be built. Cannot help thinking we have been used as an investor.

In the real estate agency that I work we have sold some apartments in the Aparthotel blocks and we always knew that this apartments are selling in that way. In fact, in all that contracts  they appear with the denomination of SUITE and not of Apartment.  You could check it in the contract that you have signed. (if is in that way you provably have to think to kill your Real estate agency salesman!!!). Anyway before you do it, is good that  consider a few advantages that you have as a suite.

The apartments that are building in "Aparthotel" blocks have air condition pre instaled.

You dont have the obligation to rent your apartment, but, you have the option to do it and probably (this is not confirmed but is the usual in this case) the company who handle the rent pay  the expenses of its maintenance.

On the other hand I can tell you that we have inquired in the city council of Casares and they have confirmed to us that Aifos has paid the license for that phase on March, 3 of 2007 and they want to begin the work as soon as possible.
