Is anyone having air conditioning installed by the builder or are they having the provision for air con installed in readiness for the units to be fitted at a later date by themselves or an engineer. We have purchased a Azucena due for completion in June 07 and we were wondering where the best place to sight the unit on the ground floor without spoiling the overall appearence of the inside of the property, has anyone had a similar concern? .........Vanessa & Andrew H

I have decided to let the builder do all my extras so that when we move in its all done and decorated over the aircon etc ,it seems a little bit more expensive and my extras I have ordered came to E14000

I am presuming that SJ no where to put everything for the best effect I have a Azuchena in R14

I originally had ordered the pre install for the air con to have it fitted when we move out, but then San Jose had an offer on a unit which I have since purchased with them so it will all be ready when we move in, eventually!! It worked out excellent value so worth enquiring with them if they have any current deals.

I'm sure other residents will tell you

where the units are placed will be pre determined

all there will be should be are wires coming out of the wall.

Couldn't reply to your  e mail as you didn't include your address so posting reply here obviously! Grettel is the lady at San Jose who deals with all of the extras asnd she is a very helpful and reliable lady. E mail at San jose for the attention of Grettel and she should reply as soon as she receives it to give you any details that you require.

We are having the pre installation work for the aircon fitted by San Jose as we are undecided about whether to have air con or not.  If we decide in the future to install it it wont be such a big job to do.

It is worth considering that temperatures can go below freezing at times during the winter so if they freeze up on the outside and you have dual systems the heating may not work properly.
