 Just to let you all know  how different Trafico offices work,we got our licence last year in Cartagena, The place was packed out, it took 40 mins from entering the building, we didn't have to have a medical as we just exchanged our in date UK licecne for a Spanish one, we got a  temp paper copy & our licences came within 3 weeks. On 2nd November my hubby had his wallet stolen, so off back to Cartegena with the denuncia we went This time it took 50 mins but yesterday his replecement licence came so again 3 weeks.

I have never caught the bus but mt sister has and says it stops in all the main places along the route so I'd assume it stops in Guardamar

 No need Sue, it is quite easy, you go up to the bus stops they are clearly marked Alicante & Murcia, the C6 takes you into the bus station you then catch a Costazul bus to Cartagena or Torrevieja depends on timings but they are qutoe frequent, the total cost will be around 8€ per person
