Block 271

Jim,

I have just came back and our apartment is still not ready. After walking around, there looks to be a lot more work needed on your block. They said we were getting ours last December/January but it will be more like the end of next month. I wouldn't get yourself worked up about it, it's Spain! I was stressing because our contract said the same. Our advice would be don't book any flights until you have a definite date (apartment totally finish) as we have made that mistake this summer.

Just got back to day looks like there doing the first fix on all the internal pipe work ,some shutters are in but it looks a long way from been finished graham 

Thanks everyone for the updates.  As expected progress looks slow but at least there is some activity. If you spot them slacking feel free to tell'em to get a move on :o) 

We are glad at least some activities are being spotted! We bought an appartmen in block 271 as well, and are anxious to go ther and get the key. But as I read all comments, progress is slow....... very slow.

For those who are interested in the progress of block 271 we have just been told that all building work should be completed by Christmas. However it will be another 3 to 8 weeks to then get the habitation certificate from the local Council. So looks like Feb at the earliest for us. 

Interestingly they have put the prices up by €5000 since we bought, so there must be a reasonable amount of people looking to buy.

On the website thesunpeninsula,com you can see that still 21 appartments are for sale. We also received the message the appartments will be finished in December this year.

We are out at Terazzas at the moment and took some photos of block 271 today, i am afriad there still seems lots to do, although wiring is going.  If you woudl like to see the photos send me your e-mail in private chat and i will e-mail to you as i cannot figure how to post them here!!

Gary had a cycle round this afternoon and said he could defintiely hear drilling and banging goign on, so that's a good sign :-)

Don't know about the apparent stoppage. We were out last week they were working, all week. Also worth remembering public holiday this weekend.

It's Monday morning and not a builder in sight

Hi,  has anyone spotted any activity since cell Monday? I'm starting to be concerned if all work has stopped both for what it does to our completion date,  but more about what it says about the developer Sun Peninsula.

i am not sure but i think Sun Peninsula sell the finished apartments now but i don't think they are building them - reading up it seems that is either still Polaris World or another third party called Sirius.  Does anyone know the detail around who the builders are working for?

Yes,  from our contract,  it is Sirius  who is the developer,  Sun Peninsula are their selling agent. 

Did any builders turn up?
