Yea Joannie, too right

FIN..........i get a bit confused about you sometimes, if you have any advice to give about current affairs it seems to be hard to spot, then again if you have some reason to complain about the way things are working out, it dosnt seem to apply to you at all because you havnt been caught up in these events?

Maybe your an accountant?.....someone who is adept at adding up things that have already happened and forming a dispassionate judgement about the current state of affairs.

Is there any real advice or experience you can give about the current situation at all?...........or is it just stating the obvious your best at?

Hi guys , If staying put in something that 'belongs to them' causes them just a smidge of the stress they have caused us  , I for one dont blame you at all... little victories are good for the soul and may give you some comfort for a while and anyway the HELL WITH THEM..!  Stay as long as you can and have a good christmas each and a ray of sunshine on your backs from me!!

Its made me smile at the thought of them having to sue to evict someone who wanted to buy a house from them in the first place. Could you now negotiate that the 60Euros a month is taken off what they owe you from your deposits until THEY pay you back?? Just a thought that made me smile.

Yep

And i think you should build a little stable and manger on your front lawns and paint a bright star on the roof.

Then if Almudena is giving birth around the 25th, show her some hospitality for a place to have the baby born.

What gifts the wise men (and women) of La Zenia could bring..................now theres a thought.

That's the spirit.. we could all sing away in a manger and we could change the locks for you.  Is anyone on the forum a carpenter???   Oooh thats another thought... Almu's baby maybe a boy , born on the 25th who turns out to be a carpenter and takes over the business in 25 years!!!   spoooky.. Tony ask Almu if thats the plan so that it can be included in the next Report then we'll know it got to be true.   Only 25 years to wait for our house in Jumilia. Yippee.. Merry Christmas each x

Luckily there is a small plot of garden in front of the building though it is very close I mean a metre from the busiest road around here, as for the locks been there done that  I am just lookig for a tenant now, we have asked our solicitor if we could tell SJ to take the 60 euros from what they owe us but they say we must still pay as it means they have to fulfill their side of the contract

Hi  Sal - Brian - Linda.

Just got back from one of the others San Jose  appartments, after having a friendly game of cards and drinks. Lost €6 but at least it went to a good cause. NOT San Jose.

Thanks folks, for your light hearted comments about the San Jose appartment situation. Especially you Sal who thinks its rather funny and made you smile.

There is NO last laugh here FIN, whoever has it, its just a case of after speaking to most people involved, no one is going to leave without a fight and it will take a court judgement and the bailiffs to turn up at the doors and only then will all leave peaceably without hassle, unlike many squatters you read about these days, barracading themselves in etc.

Nothing of course will be given back easily, unless deals are made or money back, and i am sure sj and hdt already realise this, so it is up to them. Are they likely to be reasonable? Who knows, but one thing is for sure when you are about to lose some or all of your money through no fault of your own, then you fight back and fight back we certainly will, and i suggest everyone does the same within their financial capacity. Good luck to all.

With you 100% on this......................

To all, this is not a bargaining tool to get our money back any sooner remember that, it's to have a roof above our heads now that San jose have up to 50% of our money. It was a chance we took to fund the purchase of our properties in Jumilla by selling up in the UK and coming here and paying a minimal amount for up-keep. that is why i compared what we paid in thee UK for our properties compared to here..............the fact it has gone t*ts up is now our issue and we fight to keep a roof as I say.

As an asset, well that is incorrect and the administrators will not pay out any quicker. In fact there are those who are owed money that could actually see us as a hinderence, our staying put means JG cannot sell the asset and therefore raise funds to pay out...........although in the grand scheme of things, I doubbt the sale of these apartmemnts will increase the coffers that much. But again, set everyones minds at rest, the Administrators will not and cannot pay out a creditor before any other (unless a Bank Guarantee in place and agreed). The sale of this property goes into the pot and all here will receive a pay out at the same time as everyone else...whenever that might happen, so for now, we're staying put until as james said in the opening of this topic, San Jose do what was promised and negotiate with all here instead of just trying to muscle us out

Victory to the La Zenia 18

Darren & BOB

I too am with you both, we all realise what is needed to put SJ in an uncomfortable position, that .of not being able to pay the creditors, of  course which we are some of them, as Darren said earlier we are in a better position than most of the forum memebers in that we are here and can get things cracking as soon as we have info

Anyway it's nearly Christmas SJ will not spoil it for me I fully intend to enjoy my 1st christmas of many here in Spain

Merry Christmas everyone from me and the Laird

GAL

"There is NO last laugh here FIN"
Agreed, which is why I commented when someone mentioned that they "had the last laugh".
Please read the thread and you will see I just quoted.

Good luck to everyone at La Zenia and - knowing many of you as we do - we are sure that you will have a very merry Christmas!

You are hardly squatting there, when you have a legitimate contract allowing you to stay in an apartment until your house is ready.  I admire you all for making the best of what is a difficult situation.  John and I also considered asking San Jose if we could have one of the apartments at La Zenia, but decided that we would prefer to look for somewhere to rent here in Jumilla.  At the time, like you, we expected our house at SADM to be completed by the end of this month!  At least our landlord here isn't making threatening noises.  If you are still able to laugh at your predicament, then good luck to you.  I don't think anybody else who isn't in your situation should be criticising you.

Sue and John

Sue - John.

Thanks for that. Its nice to know even if some people are not in the same boat as us, at least they are on our side.

Yes we do laugh about the situation sometimes, because as the saying goes:  Laugh and the world laughs with you, cry, and you cry alone!

Round 2 from San Jose has consisted of an UNSIGNED 'Important Notice' being put on the entrance doors of the apartments in La Zenia reminding those of us that are supposed to do so to vacate our properties and hand in the keys before the 31st December - bring it on!!!!!!!!!!

Well if San Jose do monitor this forum one wonders why they bothered to put those notices up, as i said before they have to go through a proceedure but they already know we are NOT going to pack our cases and go on holiday. We ARE on holiday, a PERMANENT one. So as Roysrellies has already said. BRING IT ON!!!!
