I do not want to be accused of posting on their  OTCC forum site - when we are not buying on it - but ACC buyers with no BG's have now to be very worried about Huma's ability to pay even if we ever get to court eventually. It seems certain individuals hate to hear any bad comment about OTCC on their forum.

But there is virtually no posting of any updates on this forum this month. Is there something we do not know?????

Is building still going ahead? - has major construction started? Are BG's being issued? Has Huma got all the planning permission for first stage development?

With September starting - I would have expected more messages of enthousiasm about progress - as one buyer was getting excited about Huma asking about tile selection and the nice Mr RowlandsB looking forward to been in by next summer or even earlier!

Anybody know whats going on there? - as I think this will be an early warning indicator to the future.

Has anyone talked to Huma about OTCC recently - what are they saying?

John

I agree with you John,

Although we chose not to go to OCC I do feel it's in our interest for the development to go ahead.  We are in the long list awaiting court action and the thing that has worried us has obviously been the state of Huma's finance.  I'm sure this is why people in general have transferred because of the uncertainty in getting a refund without a bank guarantee.
We just decided we didn't trust Huma and didn't want to have further property dealings with them and would chance our luck in taking them to court.

I do hope for the people that have transferred that all is well and they end up with property they are happy with and would have chosen regardless.

BUT IT IS VERY QUIET!

You are right - whether we like it or not - we are all involved - even MCC residents! Thanks for your reply. I think any OTCC buyer must be worried - but you have a little more hope currently than ACC buyers with no BG's.

I have contacts with the residents association at MCC and there seems to be issues there too. They are not the happiest set of bunnies on certain issues!

As far as I can understand - Huma Mediterraneo S.L - developed both MCC & ACC - so that is why ACC will rumble on. Huma would have to relinquish MCC if they went into liquidation.  Is this why the are delaying to avoid losing MCC? They are hanging on for dear life!  If you know any information on this or I am wrong - please correct me!

OTCC has been developed by another corporate entity of Huma and so could be more vulnerable - as they would not lose MCC if this company went eventually bust. If Huma are in trouble - and they want Huma Mediterraneo S.L to survive then they will have to find an answer when ACC cases come to court. However since the courts are so slow - this could take years for a whole number of reasons and Huma have been quite happy to write bounced cheques in the past!

If this is all about major delaying tactics - OTCC is in just as much trouble as ACC. The thing is these tactics may need to delay things for several years (looking at the state of spanish uncompleted homes and economy) - and I am sure the Spanish judicial system/authorities will do all to support their own unfortunate spanish construction industry.

I think everyone needs to keep in touch with whats happening in all sites including MCC - as the whole set of dominos could come tumbling down suddenly - (look at Parador UK, Leamans,HBOS).

If Huma ever move their offices away from the MCC site - that would signal red lights!!!!

I think I would say for most ACC people (I hope I am not speaking out of order)-  we hope that OTCC goes ahead and you get what you paid for. If we cannot get our money back or it looks unlikely - probably the last hope might be to transfer to OTCC - so we need to ensure that this is still a backstop option.

I think also OTCC progress is a weather vane to the direction that Huma will take in the future.  If they build OTCC - ACC buyers have a chance of money back - but if Huma default on OTCC - we can all kiss our money goodbye for ACC buyers without BGs.

Please post any information - we are all interested and all our destinies/fate are inter related.

Many ACC buyers without BG's going to court are worried for everyone and have no confidence in Huma and would prefer never to hear that 4 letter word again.

However, we would never want any british person to be ripped off by Huma and other spanish cowboys again - so we must keep banging away - how could we recommend friends/anyone to purchase remaining units @ OTCC or anywhere in Spain (even if we got our money back)?

John

We returned from Almeria on the 19th. Paid a visit to OTCC to see how things were developing. There were builders on site and a wagon delivering concrete.
The roads for phase one were dug out, didn't get near enough to see if kerbs were in place but from photos it looks like they were. I must admit i expected to see more builders on site and for it to be a bit more developed but at least something was happening. My computer skills aren't great but i will try and put the photos on the forum.
