newly single at 40ish and living it up? on the Costa

Firstly i must say .... yipeee its Friday and i am off the weekend and after a bit of a show down in the changing room with a colleague i am so relieved to hit the motorway and head home for a few days of peace and quiet or so i thought when i arrived home to find i have 2 weekend guests , NOW  i do love my parents to bits but small doses . My parents came to live in Spain about 5 years ago and even though i may or may not go back to UK  eventually, they are adamant they will stay, when i moved down here they stayed in the town i used to live in, so when i see them now they stay but actually i enjoy them coming,

Today i did have a funny moment at work though today when i received a call from Tom Cruise , well no , thats what i thought he said but than i got the giggles and went bright red, i knew it was not the real Tom Cruise but my voice got so high pitched it made me laugh, well it was not Tom it was John his cousin ,

AND even more important  a friend got me a yellow M&M plush cushion for my collection, well i only had the green one which someone brought for me and than i decided i would collect them , so now i have 2 a green one and yellow, really would like the ltd edition chocolate one but not out yet so hopefully Alba will get this one when she goes to UK next, another thing to keep you posted with, which i am sure you will all be worried about until my collection is complete

Turkey crown or turkey whole is the thing i am pondering today, i must decide soonish as going to morrisons on sunday to buy, you have to buy early or risk being left with the huge turkey you cannot fit in the oven and takes two weeks to defrost and cook, SO me and my mum will fight over the white meat , dad will have what he is given , yes the parents are coming to me for christmas, so crown makes sense butttt theres something not quite right about just the lid of a turkey and something so right about a whole turkey .. 

 Do I or do i not have kfc tomorrow, simple enough answer you think but let me explain, The nearest kfc or kentucky fried chicken restaurant is actually half hour away from home in Marbella, now i could justify visit with the fact i am planning to buy my christmas tree this weekend and when i was last at la canada i liked the ball, balls in one of the shops there as they were posh and this year i am going posh and coloured themed on the tree, pink of course and green , in my previous life of marriedhood i tended to go for the tackier the better motto with loads and loads of balls and tinsel in every colour available, Last year my first in divorce land i went for the shut the door and let everybodyelse get on with it but this year i am intending to make it a cheery , posh of course and boozy christmas, well actually the last one i did do last year. Back to question i do go off track abit , I have numerous reasons  why i should not have it and the main reason is i do not get paid for another 2 weeks but my bank balance is looking like it wants to be paid much much sooner , also the CALORIES  , yes it deserved capitols, though thank god in Spain the CALORIES  are not advertised as omg when i went back to UK all the restaurants and take aways had the calories showing, what the hel is that all about, when i went to one of my fav rests, harvester the ice cream dessert was 1000000 too many calories , still had one though, Whats eaten in the UK  stays in the UK  , Back to it Helen, Plus really do i need the posh ball balls , when i could potter around the local chino and find the colours i want for a third of the price and less calories . I  hated the chinos in previous life but now i just love pottering around on a saturday morning and grabbing a great bargain of some tool or kitchen equip i will probably never use , but i do have a nice collection of plastic containers of every shape and size i have brought and use .

Now i would like to point out , that i feel very thankful that i am in position that my only worry this week is whether i get kfc. It has not always been like that and i hope it lasts a while too..  

 Thank goodness i am home at last, The day has been very long due to staff shortages and the count to xmas(WHAT A DIRTY WORD xmas, i am seriously not thinking about it , however i will be buying a tree this year , so will update when i do it ). I love driving and think i am quite a good driver , even though most passengers do not agrre with me but parking , well no, parking not my thing , so after a long day it took me 20 mins to park in to the undergound car park which only had 1 car parked in it as its winter so not ,many people in the block, BUT IT HAS PILLARS , bloody pillars , why oh why do these buildings have so many bloody pillars , they only hold the building up. The other week i scratched the back corner , so i am extra careful but in , out, in out and finally in, not straight but in,

 Its a subject i really need to write down about as this area has been the hardest to adjust too. So after 20 old years i found myself back on the dating game and OMG  what a rude awakening i have found it . I first went through the i shall throw myself at anybody who gave me a smile and if they spoke as well i thought Helen your in here even if i totally didnt even fancy him, , thankfully that phase was short lived and as you would expect unsuccessful, I suppose i should explain that the end of my marriage was very ugly with one party cheating on other party and me  being the party who was not cheating, lessoned learnt there i think. SO hopefully that will explain a little of my frame of mind . So onto next phase , friendship is the way to go, easy, less stressful  and to certain extent i feel i may have cracked this area as i have found a really good male mate who has been there for me through the dark days and nights , though it has been a little bumpy as i may have declared  how i felt for him after 1 encounter but thankfully he has stood by my little quirky ways and fixed my satelitte on many occasions, though never got round to checking my oil (must add that to wish list, learn how to check oil but i did check my tyres myself but lost the little cap on one wheel but hey i did it ) , so yep i have a male friend , 

So than i thought , lets go online and make friends online and friends is not the phrase i would give it, but i did enjoy the few months i did it. I could not bring myself to meet anyone but enjoyed chatting and some were very funny and very weird, Some guys just wanted to webcam ummm i wonder why? one had a picture of pegs and for the life of me i could not see why , so i asked him,well now i know but ewww i wish i did not . Than one man decided to delete me after chatting for a few months and i got upset and it was than that i thought wait a minute i did not even know him and im upset , so that was the end of the internet encounters.  

Than i had my first official date , did it go well, yea i suppose it did other than this silly girl at the table nextdoor preceded to tell me she could not possibly eat as much as i just did, thanks for that . Now i look like someone who eats loads , well actually i probably do eat too much, she was drunk and bigger than me , so i decided i would not give my usual response which would involve a finger and a few choice words as i was trying impress my date . Did i get a second date .... Nope , ah well not so good than.

Than, yes theres more , i went on a day date , my feet ached at the end of that we walked everywhere but that poor little sausage looked and sounded like my ex and well not going there again , so that was it.

So where am i now, well i have a cat shes all i want at the moment  but i am sure i will have more encounters to write here .about

well not sure if i carry my blog off here or i create a new one everyday, so plumped for posting here , wrong or rightly,

I work in Gibraltar and live in Spain so everyday i goto work i take my passport which always feels weird but when i do actually travel , my passport looks so well worn that i look like i am always jetting off somewhere, IF ONLY? Back to blooming Monday , where if anything is going to wrong , Monday is the day, so i am pleased to report that today is no different. It started badly when i forgot to get change for parking , so had to park on dirt track and it is literally  a dirt track where loads of cars are parked and you pay a euro and when you return your car is covered with dirt lol but hey its only a euro all day, I am a manager and 2 team members rang in sick , so played catch up all day but only had a couple of tiffs which is good for me , so finished work on a high.

Nothing to update on golf as not looked into it yet and i do have alot ideas in my head, which now i seem keen to write down but if i actually do half the stuff i would like to do i will be happy, since my sudden live style change i decided to do a wish list , so i thought i would share a few, 

1 , start flying again, not flown for 10 years and than i read Allen Carrs easy way to enjoy flying and hey i do now, flown 4 times last year and planning to fly more.

2. run the london marathon ... still working on that one and not successfully 

3.. see madonna in concert  yep done that one, brilliant in Barcelona but now i fancy seeing Kylie , its the 80s girl in me

4.  change a light bulb, please do not judge, never done it 

5.. go to USA  New York i think but undecided

WELL , Vettel done it lol, now my next big thing to think about is, shall i take up golf lessons , i live next to a golf course which looks so nice and i really could do with the gentle excercise and i think i will like the last hole too, so will keep you  posted on that as im sure i will make a pigs ear of it ,

I HAVE RECENTly sort of adopted a cat ,  she /he not sure , has a flea collar and looks fed but she seems to have moved in . The first few days in my new apartment i heard noises , i did not feel worried and even spoke and said whoever was living here , did they mind me living here with them as i liked the flat lol but now i think the cat was with me from the first night, maybe left behind from previous renters either  way i enjoy her/he company , she/he rules the place.

 Well , well , well, i have finally got through all the set up details and now ready to start my very first blog, i put my picture in but unsure if you see it, so sorry if you cannot and i suppose sorry if you can lol, it was a flower power phase and thankfully only lasted for one 60s fancy dress party.

I must also confess to being useless at spelling, so thankgoodness for spell check if remember to use it and also my bad grammer which i randomnly put a comma in, thinking it will make what i write make sense. Also i type 1 fingered even though i did a typing course but i find i am quicker lol and i also put CAPS ON  by mistake alot too.

RIGHT ok, thought  i would use it as a sort of diary and write my daily goings on or not and how i am feeling.

TODAY I am writing this blog and getting ready for formula 1 to start, So would like Vettel to do it , well would of liked Button or Hamilton but thats not bloody possible now as both have done naff all lately and also do not want Alonso to win as i find him a little wimpy and whingy and Spanish .
