Hi Albee, there is no straight answer unfortunately. Even if you do get an answer from the agent when you buy an apartment in Spain you are also buying into your share of the maintenance of that block. In La Torre Golf Resort (where we used to own an apatrment) we looked on as owners in a nearby block paid more than we did as there were more debtors in their block! So, lesson learned.... our monthly fees were not fixed and dependent on the financial reliability of others. Nobody pointed that out to us when we were looking to buy! Good luck.

How exciting for you, I did exactly that 2 years ago and now happy owner of a fab 2 bed apt that we visit multiple times a year sometimes on flights costing £9.99!

I presume you are flying into MJV ( Murcia San Javier ) which is on the coastline and services all the holiday areas of Costa Calida. Get informed beforehand, what is on your wish list and your budget. Use websites like www.kyero.com to narrow your search. 

Good luck, and enjoy your search. As everybody says, do your homework and you'll be fine. Leave it to someone else and thats when it gets risky.

Use a search engine such as doyouspain, click 'on airport' to ensure the office is not a bus ride away.

Buy your own excess insurance, I use reducemyexcess ( £40 for the year 2 drivers ) to avoid expensive insurance charges.

And off you go!

It's basically a fairly lawless place. There are laws but they are usually either ignored or manipulated to meet the needs of financial interests. Corruption permeates every faction of the society and it's deeply engrained in its culture. It will never change because too many powerful vested interests would lose.

Mickyfinn that's a good descrition of investment bankers at their worst....UK based!

Investments in health & wellbeing are also productive. I have a varied portfolio and this pot is marked 'fun'. Not indulgent ( that would be a £10k cruise thats over in a flash ) nor burden.  I'm not a fool, I researched for years before buying this apartment.
