Hi  everyone,

My family and I are moving to Spain at  Oct/Nov of this year .

My husband will be working in GIbraltar so the working side of things are secure .

We will be coming out In September when the schools open and look at different property's either in Gib or Spain.

My big, big worry at the moment is the financial situation ( DEAD ECONOMY WALKING) what does this all mean to new people going to live over there and can anyboby give me any advice on what to do when we get there.

Hi Steve and Gail,

We are too planning on moving to Spain as my Hubby will be working in Gibraltar.

We are to at the early stages as well . I  have my house to sell and we are just in the middle of doing it up. If I cant sell it I will have to rent it out.

I am not sure where abouts in Spain you are going but we are looking just outside the border of Gibraltar because of his work.

I am doing alot of research because I dont know what I am suppose to be doing. I think the main issue is the schools as I have got two children age 9 and 6 and if we cant find  what we are looking for in Spain we will have to live in Gibraltar for a while.

The people on this forum are very helpful so I am sure if you have a worry or a question they are there to help.

Anyhow good luck with your future plans and I hope it all works out for you

My husband and I are chatting about moving to GIbraltar as he will be working there. Purely because we think the transition may be easier for us.

What do people think and does anybody know of good schools.

Hi everyone,

Moving to spain in the next few months and I was thinking of Manilva or Alcaedisia(I think that is how you spell it).

Does anybody know of schools in these areas that have alot of english children in them ( state schools preferred) Private schools at a push I know already about international schools.

I have two children Age 9 and 6 and does anybody know how much a rental property costs for a three bedroomed.
