Hi,

Finally getting around to catching up on the 'la renta' tax on the online Form 210. Managed to produce the .pdf Form 210 for the year 2011 which I'm gonna pay next week.  However, I thought I'd be able to create other .pdf Form 210's for previous years that I hadn't paid it, but the form wouldn't allow me to produce 210's for the years before 2011.

So how am I supposed to pay the years I haven't paid it?  Could I just output another year 2011 form, edit the dates by hand and hope they'll accept it at the bank?

When you sell a property that has or had a mortgage on it, it costs 5000€ to have it 'removed' from the Land Registry.  Nobody tells you that at the bank when arranging a mortgage!.. Pay cash or arrange Briish finance!

......no it doesn't cost 5000 euros. I recently had my mortgage removed from the land registry and my local Spanish lawyer charged me 460 euros to have it done. The bank who I had the mortgage with wanted to chage me 1200 euros!

I'll finally paid off my Spanish mortgage in full (hooray!!). I thought that would be it but, this being Spain, its not it,  the Mortgage needs to be de-registered at the Notary and Land Registry. 

My bank wanted to take 800 euros for the pleasure of doing this on my behalf.  However, my solicitor informs me that it should be possible to do it myself.  I need to get the bank to sign the mortgage cancellation document at the Notary (200E fee), then I take this document to the Land Registry where they will make the neccessary amendments in the Land Registry and charge me about 100E. 200E + 100E = 300E.  A lot different to the 800E my bank want to charge me ..

Has anyone been able to do this on their own thus avoiding the excessive charge made by the bank?
