Hi all,

I know this maybe ever so slightly off thread but I have recently purchased a villa in Spain, near Huercal Overa. The company is called Quantum Villas and the villa designs are similar to those on the ACC. I have used an independent solicitor away from the area and everything has been checked out, it all came back fine and legal. My solicitor has sent me copies of the licence and BG. They are not a massive company, the development I am on is only 18 villas, but they take the time to expain everything to you (you do not get lost in 1000´s of people). They also have a Community and Share scheme which helps you integrate into the Spanish way of life.

I am very sorry for everyone who has had troubles with villa purchases but if they wish to pursue living in Spain they could do a lot worse than contact this company.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the info, it is a great help. At least I know now that what the developer said about the new Pulpi bypass is true! I did find them to be very honest with nothing to hide and I like to think Im a good judge of character. We did have a good, long look around Huercal Overa and we thought it a lovely town. We have been to other towns nearby and they are not Spanish enough for our liking but Huercal definately hits the spot!

Hi Jennifer,

I am new to this forum but have just purchased a property from a company called Quantum Villas near the town of Huercal Overa. It is a lovely part of Spain and we fell in love the moment we saw it.

We used an independent solicitor and all the paperwork was in order, we have seen the licences to build and also other developers are building close by. I agree with Brian that there is nothing wrong with purchasing off plan properties provided you make sure everything is legal, which we did. If you would like the details of the company we bought from send me a PM.

Hello to all...

I am new to this site but wanted to add to this topic. I have just purchased a villa from Quantum Villas in El Saltador. I found Manuel to be most affable but as is the way I instructed a good solicitor to check out all the legal paperwork. Said solicitor was MY choice not theirs and everything came back ok. LIcences for the work were shown to me by my solicitor. I have to agree with rowlands it is a beautiful spot to live and that is what convinced me to buy there. My villa will be ready by July 2009 and I am looking forward to spending some great holidays there. Maybe even meet a few people on here who have bought in the area perhaps?
