Hi Everyone

The thread is titled ‘cause for concern’ and at the moment that is just what it is and not ‘cause to panic!’  There is the general concern among owners that San Cayetano has a loutish element and although small, could develop into something much bigger.

Is this stone throwing and door bell ringing a constant nuisance by the same children or was it an isolated incident that people witnessed over the same period?  The last thing that wants to happen is for it to get blown up out of all proportion but at the same time, it doesn’t want ignoring.  Who approached the parents and what exactly was the response?  The full facts are needed before any sort of action is taken by anybody, Taray included. 

It is with this in mind that we intend to start another thread to initiate the formation of a committee to take the lead now.  This will work along side any responsibility Taray has in respect of administering the community and possibly form the basis of future formal arrangements and hopefully rectify this situation. 

Individuals need support and the community needs a voice.

Hi everyone

This is to anyone who has an interest in the community of San Cayetano and the formation of an interim owners committee.

Following recent conversations on the forum we feel that there is a need to create a committee for the benefit of owners of properties within San Cayetano.   Setting this committee up now will hopefully bring any issues and concerns to Taray’s attention and pave the way forward for a great community.

Firstly, there will be a need to identify people willing to serve on the committee and we are aware that people have previously indicated that they would.  If this is still the case we are in a position to start the committee now.  As the development is still ongoing this will undoubtedly change over a period of time.

Our basic thoughts are that the committee should be made up of a mixture of both residents and none resident owners, the proportion of which can be decided upon.  We would be more than willing to play a part in setting up this committee but by no means wish to dictate anything to anyone.  We need a consensus of opinion as to the way forward.

We will be completing at the end of this month and will be over the first week in December, if anyone would like to get together to take this further please let us know.

It would be useful if this thread could be used as an open forum for everyone to play their part.

This issue is of great concern to us and should be for everyone who owns a property on this development.  We, like the majority of people buying on San Cayentano did so with the wish for a better way of life either by frequent visits or by permanently moving in.  A residents committee is a good idea to deal with most issues but this requires action by every person on site to stop the problem before it escalates.  There is a real danger that this anti social behaviour, if left unchecked, will become an accepted part of life in the community.  The parents of any child found acting in this way need telling immediately to take the necessary steps to prevent it happening again and if it continues, the authorities need informing.  It is sad to see the word “victim” in regards to the place where most people have set their dreams upon.

From reading the threads San Cayetano has a lot of nice people and is a great place with a lot to offer, so we can’t let the ignorance of a few people spoil it.  We are in the final stages of completing so unfortunately are not there to take any action ourselves now but when we come across early December, (unfortunately only visiting to complete) we would be prepared to get involved to help nip this in the bud.

We have looked through the many threads and haven't found too much information on the subject of alarm systems.  We are looking to complete shortly and would welcome any information people have on the alarm systems available and where best to get them installed.  We would appreciate any information to assist us.
