Hi Folks.

As far as I understand it, the visit that was scheduled for this week did not happen so quite where it all stands now I don't know. Tthe best that one can say is that it does appear to be imminent and the development is up in arms about the aerial mostly because of the total lack of information from Taray on the subject. If anybody knows better than me (not difficult on this subject) feel free to join in.

As far as the Manzana thing is concerned, if you look on your Taray contract , ( the Spanish one) there should be a plan at the back showing your street and the position of your property on it. Your should also find a reference to the Manzana (normally in spanish this means 'apple' but apparently in architectural terms it also means 'block' )

Course, if the inspection on Monday did not take place, our inspection (Manzana 8) in 4 weeks is probaly dubious too.

If I get anything more substantive I'll let you know.

Thanks for this. I asked around and can broadly confirm the substance of your message. However, I am also told that the inspection on Monday applies to the houses on Manzana 7. The inspection for Manzana 8, is not being done for another 4 weeks. I am told that Helder will give us a few days notice so that the aerials can be taken down, Yet another unanticipated cost to0 absorb unless you can DIY.

Quite what happens about those houses that have aerials but are mostly unoccupied I have no idea.

Hi Folks,

Just a reminder after my previous outing on this subject in April that the bins are still not being emptied on a nightly basis as in the village so household waste, particularly food waste in these bins will be a potential health hazard after very few days in the heat.

Apparently the green bin outside the warehouse is emptied routinely because that is council property but the best bet is to use the ones in the streets just off the development when you go out into the village or in the car.

As before, cardboard from furniture, appliances is not a problem .

Re Taray's letter, this may not be quite as simple as it sounds. In theory it is correct but it may depend which part of the development you live on. In our case when we followed this procedure two weeks ago, we found that some streets, ours included ( Calle Vizconde de Ros) are not on the map of the development held at Torre Pacheco. We were told we would have to wait another month. Our friend, Cynthia, who lives on Calle Jose Sanchez Lozano got her certificate there and then

Hi Folks,

I see a lot of you are waiting for the habitation licence to be issued before signing. We signed and moved in at the end of November (permanent residents) and have been chasing the habitiation licence since for a number of reasons, not least being getting the padron for residencia and so on. We have recently been told by Taray that this is at least three months away but for those in residence they ( Taray ) will issue a letter certifying your ownership and residence which, they say, can be shown at Torre Pacheco town hall to justify  (in lieu of the Certificate of Habitiation) getting on the Padron

We have obtained this letter but have not yet taken it in so we'll see if it works in due course. Meanwhile, of course, this will not get you off builder's electricity and water which many of us have found to be very much a case of 'on and off'.

Incidentally, there is also talk that the August completions may complete by the end of May or thereabouts. Out house ( Plot 101 now Calle Vizconde de Ros, 14) was scheduled for December 5th but completed September 30 so it is possible. This might possibly help with the Certificate of Habitation situation.

Hope this helps
