Just wanted to mention a MECHANIC on Camposol, relatively new to the Mazarron area - IBR Car Services.  We have used the chap Ian three times and he has been absolutely excellent. Very genuine guy wanting to do right by people, very helpful and trustworthy. When we first encountered him he was just on his way home but was good enough to pop round to look at a car we were interested in buying. He gave it a most through checking over and made recommendations to us.   He has gone out of his way to find parts for us and kept us informed, he has done valeting for us which we were really pleased with, nothing is ever too much trouble. Good rates and talk about service with a smile! Highly recommended.

To answer Ray, I think they buy in bulk when exchange rate is good.

I would never use the large companies for large transactions,  I always opt for smaller businesses where the service is more personal, SAT Worldwide is the one most recommended, based in Henley.

Thrilling to see the people rising up, but I wonder how much of an effect it is going to have? I think the biggest impact we can make is by using our power as consumers, such as refusing to buy anything from a certain company for a week. Demos are great but as we have seen before with strikes etc, most of the time, the situation remains unchanged.

I really wish there was a reasonably cheap alternative to Ryan Air. Everytime I get on their planes I am grimacing. EasyJet are ever so expensive but I do prefer flying with them.

Yet again the selfishness of human beings was demostrated when I took my visiting friend to Sierra Espuna. As we were sitting at the picnic bench after our hike round, my little daschund came back with two friends, a very thirsty female dog and her puppy. Lovely natured creatures, obviously been well looked after prior to abandonment.

Why o why would someone dump a puppy, knowing they are vunerable to disease and could die a horrible death. These dogs know English and no Spanish so it must have been Brits that dumped them.  And why was the female dog not already neutered anyway. People think nothing to spending money on fags, booze and clothes they never wear and stuff for their houses, yet they won't get their hand in their pocket to get the dog neutered.

The situation must be unbearable for the animals charities, we asked if they could take them and they are all full.  I despair of the way animals are treated by humans.
