Dear Sarah,
we obtained a euro mortgage last year through a broker called mortgages4you, based in the UK. It might be worth contacting them to see f they can help. They obtained a mortgage for us which would have been extremely difficult for us to obtain through the usual channels, as my husband is self employed and our UK mortgage is already solely in my name for the same reason. They do charge a fee, but that imight be better than losing your deposit.
Almoradi is a lovely town and I'm sure you will enjoy your apartment.
Kind regards,
Liz

Dear all at Altos,
we are here in Spain at the mo, and popped round to Altos. Your swimming pool is now full of water and poeple were swimming it!!!! The landscaping remains to be done, the front door is still unlocked, the lifts are still tatty but progres is being made at last.
The final block at the entrance end is also well underway and some of the approach roads are now one way!
We wish you well.
Don't be strangers.

Hi Darren, Joe and Kathie, and all.
it's great to see things moving along so well at Altos. We were in Spain about ten days ago and drove to the apartments to see how things were progressing. The place is so much better! After four years of almost buying there, and even though we pulled out, we hope all goes well for the friends we met there.
We are out from December 23rd to January 2nd, staying in our recently acquired place in Las Filipinas, and hope to meet up with any of the Altos crew who are around.
Be nice to catch up!
Liz and Simon

Joe,
unfortunately, the work is pretty full-on, a real building site right under the balcony, so some disruption is inevitable. This was also one of the reasons we decided to cancel in the end, we just couldn't stand the thought of all the work still to be completed. It's a shame we won't be in Spain in October, so we won't be able to catch up with you and Kathie. We are hoping to complete on our villa in September so will be out then and again at Christmas, so if your'e around then let us know. Parhaps we can have the Altos de Campoamor escape committee reunion, like the one we had last christmas!
Take care,
Liz
