Hi there, does anyone happen to have driven from the South coast to south east Spain enough times to know the quickest and cheapest route? ie, Dover to Calais then through France, or Portsmouth to Bilbao, San Sebastian, Santander. As I am thinking of staying a month next time I might save money on the car rental if I drive down. What do you think? Linda

Hi there, does anyone know if an English woman needs to be either legally separated or divorced before she is allowed to get a Spanish mortgage? I've come all this way and now the bank is asking to see either my divorce papers or legal separation papers, I have neither. Linda

Hi there, does anyone know how easy it is (or not as the case may be!) to set up your own B and B in Spain? I am learning Spanish and have bought a property in the Guardamar area and am hoping to move out and do B and B with a few Spanish lessons thrown in. All replies gratefully received. Linda
