Hi Elena,

We have an apartment at Los Altos de Campoamor, Dehesa de Campoamor. After a lot of problems the urbanisation is now becoming really nice.  They are 5 mins walk down to the beach through the dehesa and we have a lovely sea view.  There are still a number for sale 1, 2 & 3 bedrooms, I think Ole International are now the agents.

The area has a high number of Spanish owners & a good mix of other nationalities. 

Wherever you choose I'm sure you'll enjoy holydaying on this bit of the Costa.

Our apartment is facing the dehesa at Campoamor, we are often entertained by the antics of the local red squirrel population.  It appears their foraging route takes in our tennis courts and they still follow the age old track even if that means climbing up and down the fencing at either end when they could easily go along the outside of the court without negotiating the fences.  We have also seen an eagle owl in the dehesa.  Every evening we are treated to a wonderful arial display by the local population of swifts as they hoover up the insects in front of the apartment. 

In Cartagena many of the palm trees have parrots nesting in them, the noise at dusk is amazing. 

All in all a fascinating and entertaining wildlife.

I'm really sorry to hear of your loss.

I would advise you to contact the Benefits Agency.  If your stepmum was a pensioner they will be able to help with some of the info you need but will require a copy of the interim death certificate that the coroner will issue to you prior to any inquest.  If she was on guaranteed credit you may be able to get help with the funeral costs, again the Benefits Agency will advise you. If you contact her local council revenues office (council Tax) they also may be able to help with info.

The Coroner will have authority to get some personal info and I'm sure they will advise you.

Hi Jon,

We are just down the road from you near Campoamor beach.  I was brave enough to risk a paddle when I was over last week (not warm).  We love the area and find more & more lovely places every time we visit.  Only 14 more pay days to retirement and we can move over.

We have friends in Quesada who are Bolton fans, I think they miss Wonderers as much as their kids.  Perhaps someone  should consider setting up a branch of the supporters clu on the costa.
