Hi All,

I am trying to make a transfer from Bankia online to the UK. I used this service before with Bancaja and was able to enter my account number and BIC/SWIFT code without the IBAN number. When I select foreign transfer or transfer it is looking for an IBAN number and there seems to be no place to put my account or sortcode/compensationcode. I have left a messages for Bankia's customer service but with no joy.

Would appricate your help with this.

I paid a large deposit for a property in 2006, the apartments were completed but never obtained 1st habitation license, although a lot of others did complete without this. There was a number of us who never completed and to this day don’t know why, eventually I reversed my contact in 2009 with the builder under breach of contract and have been waiting on a court date. I have just heard that the builder has been put into compulsory liquidation and my case has been suspended. A liquidator has been appointed and I will be classed as a creditor.  Can I be treated as a preferential creditor as you refer to in ADS post below? Should my solicitor know to do this?

Is this not the fault of the builder?  I am in the same situation as Jeff like many others  at Vegamar who didn't complete and the builder has gone AWOL.  I paid my 40k deposit to the estate agent who than passed this on to the builder. Does this law still stand?  I am waiting to go to court, if the builder does not appear in court I am awarded judgement how do you physically get the money back? if he doesn't show,  I know an embargo can be put on his bank account, if he has been this shrewd to date what is stopping him from opening a new bank account. Meanwhile I am still no furthur along in getting my money back.  Would appricate your comments.
