They gave us back our S1 but we have waited 3 months to get the social security  card for one of us, mine has disapeared so we can only go to register one of us with the local doctor.  Hey ho, it was far easier living in the Far East. Keep positive.

Hello there

 

we recently appplied for our health card here in Estapona. Just take along the SI and copies and originals of everything else, that is what we did. It says on the S1 on the information exactly what you need. Remember your NIE original as well. Best go along and be prepared for a long wait, we waited for 2 hours.  Then it takes 3 months for the document you need to access the health system here. So keep your E111 until you finally get your health card.

Hello All

 

Great to read all your posts and if there is anyway David and I can help you to settle in or give advice then please e mail us. We are full time residents on PM2. We have our residencia and a Sanish car, have been through all the problems of President Rules of each Area etc etc. Our apartment is owned by my brother and we are very happy with the extended patio as we are ground floor. We have two well behaved dogs, and noisy neighbours with a two year old.

In the summer it is chaos with all the children and the noise, but hopefully most people tend to obey the community rules for pool and use of the garden areas. Shopping is easy, loads of hardware shops, furniture, cheap chinese emporiums, 2nd Hand furniture at give away prices as nothing seems to be selling at the moment. So if you really need something let me know, as I trawl the facebook pages with all the local groups here in Costa Del Sol.

 

If you want to let me clean up after you or take care of your apt let me know. The agents are quite a rip off and seem to let anyone into your apt if you are renting. Also a lot of people over fill the apts when the summer comes and damage is regular to others apts.

We are well travelled and have moved some 20 times all over the world. Both in excellent health, David being 72 and I 65. Both of us can offer good references from Banks, Solicitors, Gov organisations and our friends who also live here.

I am wanting to bring from North Wales my KIRBY vacuum down to Costa Del Sol. I am looking for someon who is either driving back to UK and then back to Spain who may go near Chester, Manchester, North Wales, Llandudno. Or, is there a company that picks up single items to add to a container or lorry to bring down to Near Estapona, Gibraltar etc.  If you can help me with advice please message me.

The President has now sent out to everyone the new community rule book. Which will be in your post boxes.

 

All is well on the "Sol" high winds have broken some roof tiles, some trees have come down and the gardeneers are doing there best to tidy up.  The weather has been blissful, but now the last 6 days have been cool and windy.

 

We are looking to rent an apartment for my daughter for the month of August, and wondered if any of you would do a deal with me. Cleaning, etc and caring for your apartment i return for lesser rent for the month. Use of my own linen, and payment of all bills in advance. PLEASE HELP ME they are flying from Australia to visit Nanny for three weeks. So excited not seen them for 2 years.

 

Any other help we can offer please let us know too. We are full time Brits.
