Have you considered Mojacar Playa in Costa Almeria?

The area is quiet with properties within your budget and size close to the beach.  The area now has six golf courses, with at least another 6 within one hour.

When I moved to Switzerland I was allowed to take my cat in the cabin, however when I came to Spain from the UK I had to put them in the hold, my youngest was petrified I now wish that I had driven over with them, I felt so guilt when I collected him from the cargo area I could hear him 500 m away.  If you can do the drive, most hotels on the motorway are pet friendly.

Hi,

I went to Almeria on the Portsmouth-Bilbao route and the journey down to Mojacar was lovely, I landed at 16.00 and was in Mojacar at 01.00, with a really easy journey except for the fog around Madrid.

Hi,

I live in Mojacar, which is in the Costa de Almeria are, or as I tell people the bottom right hand corner of Spain.  I moved here from Harrogate over 2 years ago and moved here because I got head hunted, I have lived in Switzerland and Hong Kong in the past and feel that I would never move again.

I know it seems sad but the only thing I really miss is fish and chips from billy murgs, my first stop always after leaving LBA, and the green fields of Nidderdale, but apart from that I really can't see myself going back, we both have jobs that we love, enjoy the weather and people and the beach at the bottom of our road, and the feeling that our area is still very Spanish.
