I was in Orihuela Costa last week and was surprised to see that the part finished development, which has stood for years following the demise of the Developer Technoligia Urbanistica, across the road from the new la Zenia Boulevard was actually being demolished.

There was a team of men working on it wioth the help of a Bulldozer.

Thanks for the response.

When I passed, the entrance to the Urbanisation was completely fenced off. There was a car at the first house on the left, but no sign of people and it was obviously meant to stop people having a walk around.

Strange that all the houses seem finished without owners so guess most of the owners must have pulled out due to the delays and got caught up in the recession and lost their money.

Such a shame.

I was out hill walking the other day in the village of Las Palas near Fuente Alamo in Murcia Province, when I came across what appeared to be an upmarket  housing development with beautiful entrance that looked complete, but was all fenced off with no sign of life about the place.

This looked like a real high quality development that for some reason had not managed to complete.

I tried to gain access, but there was no way I could get through the fencing, even the Sales Office was deserted.

Does anyone know of this development and what has happened to it.

I read in  the Leader this week that AENA have offered Ryanair the use of Buses to ferry passengers in and out to planes, but are still sticking to their guns that they will not allow walk on loading and unloading.

I always thought that Ryanair would play AENA at Alicante off against the new airport at Corvera, but the fact that it is now going to be AENA that runs that, they could face the same difficulty there.

Despite all O'Leary's huffing and puffing the Spanish Market is to big for him to walk away and likewise for the Airports to lose Ryanair, so hopefully some compromise will be negotiated.

We await and see when Corvera opens. I certainly have flights booked in and out of San Javier up to October 2012.
