For the first time I chose to check in online for a recent trip to Malaga. I had no problems and found it very convenient not having to queue at the check in desks in the UK and Malaga. Fortunately I had only hand luggage, but when I come to Malaga in June, I will have a suitcase to go in the hold. Has anyone, who have checked in online, used the baggage drop off for Monarch at Malaga?

A taxi from Malaga airport to Mijas Pueblo wich is about half way to Marbella is €45. If you were looking for a cheaper option, there is a rail service from the airport to Fuengirola it cost about €3 single, then a very good bus service from Fuengirola to Marbella, not sure of bus prices.

I have followed your posts on this subject with great interest. I want to travel back to the UK by train some time in the future. I would be very grateful if you could share your experience of Trenhotel when you get back. I am glad you eventualy managed to book online and I wish you a safe and pleasent journey.
