Hi, I am planning to relocate to spain next year and want to take my 10 month old dog with me. I don't fancy the long car drive through France/Spain nor the long ferry trip.....so I have enquired about flying and although it will be quicker and easier, has anyone got any advice. I worry that she may panic during the flight, so has anyone taken a pet on a plane and what was it like, the procedure, any advice on the best way to do it....she is a nervous dog and i dont want her barking the place down!! any advice appreciated.etc.

Hi,

We are looking at driving to Spain next year when we move. We currently have a UK car which is a RHD. We were thinking of driving over in that but I understand I can only use it for 6 months and then have to have Spanish plates and would I have to have it converted to LHD? I have toyed with the idea of buying a LHD over in on UK plates and then driving it over and then transferring to Spanish plates. The last option is to just drive over in ours, buy a Spanish car and sell the uk one. So confused as to what to do. We want a car over there as we want to get about. Which is the best option?????

Also, what do we need to do to transfer to Spanish plates? Do we need to have a car for 6 months before either driving over there, living there or before we transfer plates? We will be renting in murcia. Any advice would be great.

Wondering if any of you could help.
We are planning on living in murcia, Spain next year and want to take a small van with belongings and dog. We are from Newcastle way and wonder which way is the easiest and quickest. I don't like driving through mountains as I hate heights but is it easier to get a ferry to Santander and drive across Spain or easier to get the euro tunnel to France and drive down through France to murcia.

Any suggestions welcome and any tips or info we may need to know. Thank you all in advance
