 Hi

I will be driving back from Mijas Costa to Bilbao in May and intend to stop halfway overnight but preferably not in Madrid and then again in Bilbao before getting ferry following morning.

Can anybody please recommend hotels to stay in?

As I have not done this before I would prefer to get recommendations if possible.

Wardy. I can only tell you that the return ferry crossing for 2 adults and a car with P&O on Pride of Bilbao is £498.( P&O are stopping this route after Sept 2010.) Then there is fuel and and toll road costs.

What about toll costs or can you get there ok without using toll roads?

Also does can anybody recommend a hotel near Bilbao as on the way back we will travel up the day before as ferry leaves Bilbao at 13.00pm

I am going on ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao in April and then driving down to Costa Del Sol.

This is the first time I have done this.

Does anyone have any words of advice?
