Estepona golf cooler today but no rain.  The golf pro told us rain all next week except for xmas day. Forecasts here are unpredictable it was supposed to rain this weekend but it hasnt.

Just finished a round of golf at Estepona golf club little bit of sun temprature 14/15 degrees ,played in polo shirt and shorts , very nice round started sweating climbing some of the hills !!!!

We are spending five months in Duquesa over this winter, since we arrived on Nov 1st we have had 5 or 6 wet days the temprature has averaged 17/18 degrees . In the UK they have had non stop rain and now its freezing cold . Hopefully the next 3 months will be as nice as the first 2 !! after reading that article i"ll still take a chance on spain thanks !! popping back next week for a few days ( you cant beat an english christmas) for a snowball fight and a bit of sledging  . Dont listen to scaremongers just enjoy the sun .

Hi  I was in this situation 2 years ago on a development that was started and stopped halfway through the build. My advice to you is to activate the bank gaurantee as soon as you can as this route took me a whole year to get my money back. More than likely this development may not ever be completed, i was grateful and lucky i feel to see my money again. As i have posted before i think the way forward in these present desperate times is to rent rather than buy.

Hi. im currently staying in duquesa port for five months and have joined estepona golf club which is close to Alcazaba hills. it looks remote just like  the casares del sol development which i have also visited . i think it will be a generation or two before these areas start to thrive ! ! The beach front  / marina is better lively bars and restaurants good internet connection, nice beach walks , An excellent new Mercadona 5 minutes drive away.

I tried buying in spain a couple of years ago off plan but the development stopped halfway through i fortunately got my deposit back through the bank guarantee i had in place . We are renting a 300,000 euro beach front apartment for 400 euros a month this option suits us perfectly as i could never afford the mortgage on this property but can enjoy an extended winter break because of the low rent, i also have flexibility where i spend future winters. and i dont get involved with estate agents, lawyers etc  . Hope this helps  .
