For your information we offer a job board where you can place "wanted jobs"

Might be worthwhile adding a post - it used to be free but I am not sure now!

We had a band play at our house recently for my husband's birthday - there were 5 of them, we paid them €800 and they played for 5 hours - I think that is good money when you think that labourer day rate is €100 - if you get yourself a good reputation who knows what could happen but you have to be prepared to put in some hard work

Pleased to read that your husband now has a job as I was just about to post the jobs thar are available on our website -a lthough they are all based in Gibraltar.

A friend of mine who lived in Coín was an excellent joiner - he even ended up with his workshop making kitchens - you will be surprised how many people in La Zagaleta would order a hand made kitchen - there are many rich people on this coast who would pay a fortune for a properly hand made kitchen. My friend now works for Clive Christian in Estepona fitting in their hand made kitchens (which are to die for!) - their kitchens are huge amounts of money and they ship them all over the World - not just Spain - maybe they need a joiner?

Good luck and I hope it all goes well :)

Thread: Joinery work in Spain

Hi

This post was some time ago but I decided I would answer it anyway - we use an English Dr in Fuengirola, even though we live in Monda we drive to Fuengirola to see the GP - he is private and we pay him €50 to see him - you can join as a family and pay yearly though. I would also go to the local ambulatorio (health centres) as they would be able to administer this also.

Thread: GP Needed ? any suggestions

Hi

I have just joined and spotted your question. I have lived and worked in Spain for 10 years and I now run my own business, however, before all that came along I worked in many bars/restaurants and even cleaned/ironed on an hourly rate 4 days a week (I hurt so much after I could only manage 4 days!) - I then ended up working as a baby sitter for one of the families I cleaned for.

A few years later I came across a recruitment agency and became friends with one of the girls who still works there and they helped put me in touch and in front of many people which enabled me to continue working and living here and surviving!

If you have good grades/degrees or even if you don't a recruitment company could be a great way to go about getting a good job with a decent salary and contract.

I will give you their information or maybe you want to search the net and see who you can find :)

Good luck
