Things are moving along in Torre Alcantara 27th April
Well slowly things are coming together, below are a few of the subjects which have been taking up our energy
The pool is now in full operation and is being well maintained by the new contractor and his team, the cleaning and checks are now done twice a week and signed for, and the brave swimmers are increasing in numbers Note - read the Pool Rules on the notice board (inside the pool)

Habitation certs and keys for properties ( You should have five sets) are being handed out by Taray at their office in San Javier, give them a ring first and make an appointment.
Still waiting on some people to set up their Community payments, if this is because you do not have the information pack drop an e-mail to me, weirc1@hotmail.co.uk
Spanish Community rules – After a few enquiries I ask you all to read these rules which again are in the pack
Good news, when we employed the new pool contractor we saved about 900 Euros, and we are getting a better standard of work for our money
We now have a new insurance which is about 2000 Euro cheaper than our original quote, and yes I have checked it to make sure we have all the main items i.e. Liability cover, Pool leakage, Damage, etc all in all that’s a saving for our community of almost 3000 Euro Per year
Some of you may feel that I keep emphasizing the rules, but I feel they are the basic foundations which will ensure that your Community and the value of your property remain secure, this has already been demonstrated by some of our residents, when there was a problem, they did not hide behind the curtains and did all the right things –excellent
Community spirit – This has been demonstrated in a few ways from sweeping neighbours patios, watering plants, etc. to organising very successful quiz nights again excellent stuff, and have you felt that when you go to the shops/bars/etc that the village is really starting to open up to us, a compliment to you all that they feel, as well as integrating with them, we are giving them the respect they should have
