I'm not sure if all rows are the same, but we are on row 5 and  got it from our president.  I'm sure it is the same for all rows.

Hi Johnny H

We  are on R2 and have just returned from DH2 last week , we got our pool key from Servigest in Torre. They still had a bundle of keys waiting for signature.Have you not been sent minutes of community meeting held in Feb? The presidents name is on that. We had changed Uk address with builders but this hadnt been passed to servigest so we didnt get it until we were in Spain.

Hi, you might have your pool key but have you seen the notice that has gone up with the rules for using the pool.

Some are the obvious like, no glass, no food or drink but the one that I find a bit confusing is no loungers.

My daughter has just returned from a short break and used our fold up loungers round the pool on her last day, easier than going to the beach when you are clock watching.      Was very politely told that I could be in for an official letter of complaint.

Am I being over sensitive or are pools no longer for lying around and sunbathing!!!!   I fully appreciate that if the pool is very busy then a certain amount of discretion comes into play and also that we do not want a pool full up with peoples loungers but if they are removed after every use I cannot see the problem.

Would be interested in hearing other owners thoughts and seeing a copy of the minutes of the meeting where this was discussed and agreed.

Sandra

It looks like this really annoyed you; I see this is not the only site you posted this on. The area around the pools is quite small when you consider the number of properties they service.

You say “I fully appreciate that if the pool is very busy then a certain amount of discretion comes into play”but when do you dray the line, at 10, 15, 20, beds. It is much easier to say no beds. Also you must consider those living next to the pool. If people can have beds there all day than the pool area could be full and very noisy.

Maybe what your problem is the treat of a letter, but if your daughter hadn’t used the longer by the pool, (after reading the sign) this wouldn’t have happened.

You also say you would like to see a copy of the minutes, From my understanding this is a very common rule for pool use in the area.

I take you are a no then to loungers round the pool.

Without being rude and without prejudice, I thought we lived in a democratic world not a dictorial one.      You might like to know that I am not the only one who feels that such decisions should be more democratically dealt with.   We are after all a community not individuals.

As to the noise levels, sorry I thought the pool was there for everybody to use not necessarily in silence.

Sandra I agree with you .  They are sold as Holiday holmes as well,   Dream Hills is a boring place anyway and we have  had four different holiday holmes in Spain over the years  and  we are  so sorry we moved.  We  didnt buy next to the pool because we didnt want the noise,  we had a choice.  These  people  should  spend more time watching for breakins than watching for sun beds and spending  our money on   sending letters out to barking fouling dogs owners.  This is just my opinion lets see if I am allowed it.

Thanks for your support.      Another owner on R1 has pointed out, the sales brochures for DH2 clearly show parasols and loungers around the pool areas.

Being able to sit around the pool will enable us to meet each other and create a better community spirit as at the moment we only tend to come into contact with our immediate neighbours.
