We purchased our apartment at Las Dunas de Cope in July 2004. We were told it would take 12 - 18 months. Since then the agent has moved out of Spain and our solicitor contacts the developers on our behalf. They keep extending completion and the last we heard was September.

Our apartment is Blq 11 planta B. Is anyone else experiencing similar problems. Has anyone already taken possesion of their properties that might be able to shed some light on the situation?

Hi,

We completed on our apartment in block 7 on 31st July (Purchased in Feb 2004!), but we had to push our agent who in turn pushed Mar y Casas to give us a date.

We moved in on August 1st and were there for 2 weeks. We have just spent a long weekend there (got back last night) and there are certainly signs of life in Block 11. We saw a man on the roof terrace yesterday putting a new external light there. So they must have completed.

Most blocks seem to have some occupiers now and all the heavy building work seems to have finished.  The roads are all newly tarmaced and the site looks good now. We even had someone cleaning the staircases and common areas in our block on Friday.

I suggest you put pressure on, otherwise you could wait forever.

Pete

If you are needing someone to help with "hurrying up" the completion process you could always use palm properties. www.palm-properties.net

I have used their services for everyhting since I got fed up waiting for my agent to do things he had been paid to do.

I have signed & completed on my apartment, I have furnished it & had 2 wonderful weeks holiday in it & I didn't have to lift a finger.  When I arrived everyhting had been done furnishing, cleaning the lot.

On my visit I noticed people in all blocks right up to block 14. Not bad considering there are only 15 blocks.   As far as i could tell there is no reson why you can not complete now & get on with things.

Good luck.
