A2Z WiFi modem power connection

We had our A2Z WiFi modem installed this week. It's working fine but I was a bit concerned when I saw how the power cable to it was installed. The power plug which should of course be put into a wall socket has been screwed in to a plastic cable connector, with the 240V cable connected to the other side. I'm not an expert, but that looks a bit dodgy to me. Has the power to everyone else's modem been connected in this way? Bit concerned too that the building insurance would be invalidated if it caused an electrical fire. Can any sparkys out there give us their thoughts?

Yes ours is exactly the same,it is not an ideal connection to be sure but if the plug parts that are normally in the socket are securely fastened then it should not cause any issues.

ideally they should have took the plug off the end of the cable and connected it into the connector block or better still a small junction box.
