Hi I love living here and its very much mature now with the kiddies play park at the top.

Downsides are that the pools are never open to residents or guests unless a life guard is there and they stopped them as of October 1st and Was initialy proposed to have them back May 1st until it was announced that not enough peeps were paying the community fees and sacrifices had to be made.....we shall see. I am a fully qualified lifeguard but to no avail I cant eventry that one. Gutted as we had awesome swimming weather until late November and several time in Dec and as I write warm enough now......come May .....way to far and very unreasonable of the President to enforce so strictly the new "guidelines" on pools.

Please note if you live in the blocks on the lower end on the right of the pool there is no access for emergency vehicles to get to you so I would want to talk anything up but thats a long hose pipe or  men wit long legs and stretcher  similarly in the blocks near the top pool at the far end......Poor Design ! although the new hospital just outside the gates is very up to date.

Finally if you live in blocks on the right side heading down to bottom pool you have a finca opposite that has dogs permanently barking all night every night outside your bedroom I am currently trying denouncing....we shall see!

Other than that excellent interiors and big size rooms, great location and rentability. Apartments with basements have a waiting list of clients trying to rent. You dont need a car as linea 2 and 3 stop outside the gates as well as Mijas and Pueblo buses. In addition taxis to and from the hospital are so regular that you wont wait longer than 5 mins for one and 9 times out of 10 they are waiting for you by time you at the gate. Cafeteria/bar available for public use in Xanit hospital with Mercadona, Lidl and Carrefour in walking distance. Phamacy 4 mins drive and Arroyo village easy walk down the hill or bus..... Oh yes of course all the Golf courses just outside as well. Fantastic Place overall until the tourists arrive in the summer. Lets hope the pools open soon or I will stop paying my fees in protest as I am not getting what I pay for. What does anyone else think?

Regards

Le Shoes

Hi

Some good points, I have a basement apartment alongside the lower pool and that dog is a pain but I don’t spend long enough there to do much about it.

The pools do need to be open so what can we do about it? I have not yet seen the lower pool open.

Nice to here that there is a waiting list to rent basement apartments as I am considering a long term let. Do you know how much they let for?

I need a cleaner between visits, does anyone know someone in the block doing cleaning?

Regards

Len Watts

Hi

I'm new on the forum.  I have a basement flat in Phase 1 at the top end near the pool.  It's rented out long term.  What's the latest re:
1. the pool - opening times
2. the 18 hole golf course they were supposed to be building
3. the other phases

Steve

It's been a while since this forum was updated so I thought I'd be the one to talk about Phase 1.

In all honesty I don't spend as much time there as I should and it's quite a shame.  The urbanization is maturing nicely with plenty greenery to the access road/playground area (shame they don't allow dogs).  Similarly, the greenery around the pools has matured and looks lovely.

There's said to be an increasing number of Spanish moving in to replace the Brits who are having to let their places go.  That's probably a good thing my book as there will be fewer holiday rentals on this phase.  In truth it wasn't much of a problem but fewer still is better.

We've never regretted our purchase on Phase 1.  It is without doubt the finest of the phases IMHO.  However, we're now in a position where we want to move on.

Me again with another update having spent the last weekend there.

The park area to the top of the urbanisation has been fully cleared out and looks fantastic as does the adjacent turfed area.  Plants are coming on wonderfully.

Pleased to see that the padel tennis courts are now only accessible by phase 1 residents and the gates are now secured by a remote control unit.  Hopefully this will be extended to the swimming pools!

The pool areas just ooze class now that the vegetation is mature.  It's better than I thought it would be.

A couple of problems to resolve with water ingress over the winter but I understand there has been a massive amount of rainfall.  Just one of those things.

I'd forgotten how fantastic the views are from our roof terrace.  Outstanding.  We're so lucky.
