Asking on the off chance- anyone have curtain measurements - drop to the ground ,for the lounge patio window and bedroom 1 (master) bedroom patio window?

I only have the inside window measurements and I understand that the box above the doors means your you need some extra drop.

Looking to get some curtains made up before we head over at the beginning of April.

Thanks

Hi Weefluffybunny,

We are over at La Isla from friday 2nd April, I can measure the drop and let you have the measurements then, if that is any use to you ?

hi

I have a 2 bed 1st floor apartment but I think they 're the same layout/size as on the ground floor.  I bought mine from Dunelm Mill as it was the only place I could find that had ready made curtains with a sufficient drop (90").   I paid approx. £220 for all 3 pairs of curtains & I have listed the measurements below for you.

> In the lounge the patio doors are 209 cms wide measured from outside the architraves. The height is 235 cms from the top of the frame to the bottom and 242 from the top of the frame to the floor.

> In bedroom 1 the patio door is 158 cms wide and the same height as the lounge

> In bedroom 2 the window is 188 cms wide and 92 cms in height.

Lights fittings are as follows:

Lounge – 3 lights

Kitchen – 1 light

Bedroom 1 – 2 lights

Bedroom 2 – 2 lights

Bathroom – 2 lights one on the ceiling and one on the wall.

Hall – 1 light

Terrace – 2 lights

Not sure how you're travelling over to Spain but I bought my lights from B&Q and took them with me when I drove over (in a van) as they have the same light fittings in Spain.  I also took over all my new electrical appliances (& furniture)as these items are expensive in Spain - simply changed the plugs or attached adapters to the plugs (approx 1euro each from the supermarket).

I used a chap called Craig Lister who has a property services business & lives on site.  He did all the handyman jobs for me (inc. putting up curtain poles)  and is both reliable & reasonably priced.  Craig's wife Nikki also runs a keyholding / cleaning business on site.

Good Luck & feel free to drop me an email if you require any other info.

regards

San
