El Coto

2004 paid a deposit suppose to complete end of December 2006.

The property was not completed in the time and also with the extra 6 months .they never made any contact with us . Trying to get my deposit back they have gone into liquidation. all the properties are complete. Saw a solicitor Looked at the paper work said I would win in court but they haven't got any money to give you . The bank has taken over the site  . The bank has paid the promotor for the rest of the outstanding balance so they have the biggest debt . Has the law changed can I go for the promotors assets

Hi,
Were you given a 'Bank Guarantee' or an insurance policy number
that all 'Off Plan' developments ,by law , are obliged to provide?
This guarantee/policy is to safeguard the purchaser (you) in case the development is not completed on time or the developer becomes bankrupt.Your developer has done both.
Get another lawyer.
