Spanish rescue dogs needing homes, having been in care over a year

There are too many Spanish rescue dogs waiting over one year for that forever home. I'm aiming to help charities who have taken dogs in but the dogs, through no fault of their own, are sadly still in a refuge. Their Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/pages/Spanish-rescue-dogs-waiting-TOO-long-for-that-forever-home/296912347072559 There are many dogs advertised

Maddie - 3 years old - has been in care after being rescued, for TWO years. Please adopt her!

Please keep this appeal going. There are so many dogs of all ages in pounds that are forgotten. Too many sad stories that need a happy ending. Please remember these rejected and unloved dogs before buying from a breeder or worse, a pet shop.

No problem, Penelope, as long as I can, I will. I also post for others similarly (see the blog if you click on my name) so time's limited.

Hi Janice,
We just ran across your post and were wondering if you would post the story of the two doggies we rescued and have been fostering for over a year now.
We already have our own rescued dogs and cats (one of the dogs came with us from the States, 8 years ago) and simply cannot cope with 2 more dogs. We nursed one of the two, Sweetpea, for 2 months after we found her in a ditch she had been thrown into 2 days before by a passing car. The other dog, Frankie, had escaped and was in the middle of a road near our house, after someone had cut part of an ear and one of his testicles off.
If we can, we would like to send you their stories and some pics, in the hope that someone decides to give them a home instead of buying a dog from a pet shop.
Kind regards,
Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth, click on my name in this comment of mine, which has a link to the FB page but it specifically says, as does the info I've copied from the FB info, that the dogs must've have been IN A REFUGE for at least a year & I've been instructed to check what I post as it should be a registered refuge. I suggest you contact them (by private message) if you are on FB. I can't over rule them as it'll open the floodgates. I am way behind posting lately too as I've been travelling. I really am sorry.

Janice

That's fine, Janice, of course we understand.

We hadn't thought about contacting them directlly on FB- we'll definitely give that a try.

Many thanks for getting back to us so quicly,

Elizabeth and John
