My tax bill email
Thursday, March 11, 2010 @ 1:59 PM

I have just sent out an email to all our newsletter subscribers with an very limited and huge offer.

Some people have emailed me saying that it's a scam.

IT'S DEFINITELY NOT A SCAM.  It is from me and it is a real need.

I need to start paying this tax bill next week and need the funds.

If you haven't seen the offer yet then please take a look at it at:

www.eyeonspain.com/haciendasale

Thanks

Justin

Justin, let me get this straight. You are selling material that advises people how to live in Spain and deal with the day-to-day issues of life here. You've been there and you've done it etc, so says the strapline...

Then you tell us that you have a massive tax bill and slipped up in not realising what you owed it, and to top it you can't afford to pay it either!

On that basis I don't think you should be advising anyone how to live in Spain if you can't even work out your own taxes. Sorry, but this error and your public call for help really devalues you as an expert on Spanish affairs.

Hi Tom

Not sure when I became an expert? I don't think I've ever given myself that title. I'm an engineer by trade, a programmer second, and SEO guy third and a company administrator fourth.

I'm only human and I messed up last year when totally engrossed in doing the Siesta Show videos and building more and more free services into Eye on Spain and improving the facilities for everyone.

I can't do everything right...I never have.

Hi Justin,
I have sent you the money - can you tell me how I get access to the books - sorry I'm not great with computers. Good luck with the tax bill and thanks for the help we have already had from Eye on Spain.

Hi Justin
I think you deserve the 17e for all the hard work you have put into this site as we have all benefited from it free of charge.

Hi Justin,

My wife has a degree in Business Economics but initially failed your Spam protection filter :)
It shows that everyone can make mistakes and being good in building communities and e-marketing doesn´t necessarily mean that you realize that you have to keep your accountant up to date.

If things go well, you get carried away by the job and there is no time to collect all necessary stuff for an accountant to do his job.

So he asks the hacienda to postpone the official declaration and when it´s finally done you didn´t reserve the money for your profitable year. Happens to lots of small businesses which grow fast.

Good luck,
Max

Lesson learned the hard way.

Justin,

Don't forget to set aside some of my 17 euros towards the tax you will have to pay next year on all the income you have received today!

Thanks to you and Susan for all you have done which has made my property ownership in Spain easier.
