Bristol Vs Malaga, which is cheaper for car hire?

Malaga Vs Bristol

I'm flying into Bristol airport at the end of the month and need a hire car for 3 days.  I booked a car using the EOS car hire facility and was quite chuffed to pay 88 Euros for a Golf sized car for the 3 days.

But then just out of curiosity  I checked out the same dates and times for a similar sized car from Malaga airport, expecting it to be much higher than Bristol airport and it came back as 40 Euros for the days!!

I was a bit stunned.  The cars seem really cheap from Malaga airport.

This is surprising as we know that most car hire firms have been struggling and generally all been putting their prices up.

But it seems there may still be some good deals around in Spain, especially off-peak.

The 88 Euros for my car in Bristol seems expensive now

I live just outside Bristol and this price is quite good for the UK if it includes insurance, etc. I work in the car industry and this type of car would hire for about £20-£25 per day. You may be paying exta as some hire companies do add a bit on for airport locations. I don't think the cost alters much due to the time of year either. You probaly could get a bit cheaper if you hires in the city but you are a bit limited to the hire companies that rent out of the airport. By the way a taxi to the centre of town is about £25.

Hope this helps and enjoy your stay. What brings you to the UK by the way.

Yes, bring a few jumpers at least as it's averaging about 2-6 degrees at the moment. It will always feel cold though if you're flying in from Spain !
