Why Spain?

Why have an estimated 500,000 foreigners chosen to live in Spain? And why are the figures for new immigrants rising year on year?
Why Spain?
- Climate
- Cost-of-living
- Llifestyle
- Stress-free existence
- Work
- Outdoor living
- Leisure activities
- Asylum
Add to the figures for foreign residents the number of owners of a second/holiday home and there is a seismic population shift taking place.
The largest group of immigrants are from Morocco, followed by the British, the Germans and the Dutch. But there are increasingly immigrants from Australia, Canada, Eastern Europe (especially Ukraine), New Zealand and the USA (I wonder why?Trump?).
Climate
Spain's climate is very agreeable, although, being a large country, there are variations between north, central and south. Rainfall is common in the north, while Andalucia enjoys around 300 days of sunshine per year. Many immigrants have come here for relief from illnesses associated with the damp and cold of northern Europe and Canada. Ailments such as asthma, flu, bronchitis and arthritis.
