Was going to Spain from start to finish but now I, Luca have taken over

So that's it then I have booked for my wife & I to travel back to Spain on January 10th 2013. It's again with Ryanair at £135 return for us with all the taxes & the usual Ryanair ripoff's. They were still the cheapest though, Monarch next at £166.

Just the apartment & car hire to sort & I'll probably use the same as last month. Carole was excellent for the apartment & Marbesol Car hire were efficient & cheap. Their cars are shabby, but that's OK, I'm driving it not admiring it. Might let my wife drive this time, I'll take a blindfold!

It will mean I'll miss a quite important Management meeting where I'm secretary, but hey lets see how they "manage".

Dear friends I'm buzzing again & Spain I don't care about your rain & inclement weather I'll be prepared this time.

Gerald,
You are a tonic, you go for it and give the estate agents hell LOL.

Will be watching with interest.

Thanks James,
I'll be on form this time, I now know what to look for. Just need to adjust my time schedule for leaving England to the spring.

Great stuff Gerry! And just imagine arriving in spring to your chosen rental home and gazing out on the almond blossom in the warmth of the evening sun. What a perfect time to move to Spain! And in the meantime, another chance to put in place the stepping stones. Well done.

Thats the way Gerald! I've just booked flights to go back and re-visit the house we would like to buy, if it hasn't been washed away, and get things moving! I met a great lawyer when we went to the NEC exhibition and have emailed him and spoken to him on the phone! He is great, English but within a firm that is in Malaga. You get English and Spanish contracts and they sort your NIE numbers and a bank acct of your choice etc.... Reading your blog reminded me that I need to book a car or would it be a boat!! Thanks for that! We use www.doyouspain.com as they pretty much always come up with a good deal and the cars aren't bad either! I hope we don't have to wait until January to hear more from you!

Thank you Louise I hope your house is still as your memory thinks it is & that if it is that everything goes smoothly with your purchase.
I believe the rain in Spain is due to let up soon so hopefully we may have a better week in January.
I'll check your car hire company but Marbosol are not a bad car hire, They are cheap, quick & efficient although their cars are shabby!
I await your further report with interest & will write again shortly.
