Legal tip 1108. Bank Guarantees and Malaga Bar Association
Thursday, February 13, 2014 @ 8:03 PM

Just back from a short trip to a Marbella. Meeting in the Bar Association for  a mediation session with a representative of a lawfirm who represented many british and irish clients during the real estate boom. He seems collaborative and committed to be providing this to us ( to you) before the end of March. We have been requesting this for years.

My thanks to Malaga Bar Association which has been very diligent doing its job.

I was quite harsh. We have been requesting this information since 2008!  for some clients. Both the mediator and the other colleague wanted me to be smiling and polite and not to show anger or frustration.....

Why is this? Why you cannot be angry and show it when this behaviour is damaging innocent people, the name of Spain, our economy, the name of our profession....?.  I just cannot understand.

Anyhow, he says he is providing the info before the end of March. If not, regretabbly, we will need to act against their professional insurance.

I will keep you posted

Maria

Hi Maria,

Well done, these Lawyers have got away with giving poor service for too long, and need to be punished, if they had done their job properly in the first place all this could have been avoided.

Hows about naming this Firm/Lawyer, if it is possible, as I bet there are lots of people wanting this info !!

Maria please could you pm me to advise who this law firm is, and also are you requesting full details associated with all deposited monies (as in some instances the deposited monies may have been transferred to different accounts)?
Also is it necessary to request the actual accounts where monies were transferred as opposed to just the relevant Bank?
Are you also requesting the original individual Bank Guarantee?
